Miki moved from Barcelona to Punta Cana to lead a construction project he had started with his partners. A few years later, Mariela temporarily relocated to Punta Cana to also lead a construction project.
Miki and Mariela never imagined they would find love in Punta Cana, as their only goal was to complete their projects and return to their homes - but God had other plans...
On the evening of October 4th of 2008 Miki and Mariela coincided in an event and after sharing a bit, they soon realized they had a lot of things in common. The next day they met with a group of friends at Soles, a place that became very special for them. The day after that they met for lunch, then again the following day... and the rest is history.
